Ballantyne and Co.,
Carpet Hall etc

Architect: William Henry Espenett
Builder: T. J. Gee

City Improvements.— Messrs Ballantyne and Co. have lately made considerable additions to their premises by the erection of a large carpet hall, &c., in the rear of their Cashel street shops, besides other internal alterations and improvements. The hall itself covering an area of 40ft by 30ft, is a brick building, with varnished wood, trussed principals, and roof and wall boarding. As seen internally, light and ventilation are amply provided for by large skylights, and louvred openings in the gable ends of the roofing. Mr T. J. Gee was employed as the builder. The architect is Mr W. H. Espenett.
