thanks Linda, Christchurch is different now after 99 years, much what you see was sadly destroyed in the earthquake. The Bishop of Christchurch, a Canadian named Victoria Matthews, is determined to pull the rest down.
I'm enjoying reading your posts and was very interested to come across this Menzies Gibb. I've also written about him, as my great step-grandmother had one of his works - a painting of the small farm she grew up on (later St Albans). Best, Michelle
